Geisenheim University is a unique institution combining practically oriented university degrees with theory and research, with a 140-year old tradition in education.

Geisenheim with its 11,500 inhabitants is located at the heart of the “Rheingau”, an important wine-growing area, near Frankfurt and Wiesbaden in the Rhine-Main area.

  • Studying in a relaxed atmosphere on a campus with 1,400 students (14% international students)
  • Every year, around 250 young people graduate with a high-quality German-taught Bachelor’s degee

  • Special programs for study preparation: “Pre-Study”-project (includes “all-round care”: organisation of the compulsory pre-study internship, support during the first steps in Germany, German language training, buddy-program) and a the Welcome Board, a virtual information point for prospective students, with a lot of information about living and studying in Geisenheim.  

The most successful Pre-Study-candidates can apply for a scholarship (250 Euro monthly, during the first year of studies). Application deadline: July 15, 2017 (in preparation for study in the winter semester 2018/19). General application information.

Study and enjoy a short term summer school Programme on a green campus in the heart of Germany, in Bavaria! As one of Germany’s youngest universities our interdisciplinary focus and the innovative collaboration between many of our disciplines are key features of Bayreuth’s research culture. Thanks to its diverse array of disciplines and strategically chosen focus areas, the University of Bayreuth is internationally recognized for its research contributions and offers an excellent study environment.

The Bayreuth International Summer School 2017 consists of several, individual courses, each one specialized in a different area of study and research. All courses are conducted in English by international guest lecturers and will take place over the duration of two weeks. Participants have the opportunity to theoretically and practically engage for approximately six hours each day in various seminars and discussions. The courses are in line with the research areas of the University of Bayreuth. 

Advantage: Learning and working in a small group of max. 15-20 international participants.

Certificate: Participants will receive a certificate with ECTS credits. For detailed amounts of the ECTS credits, please check the program information of the particular course.

 “Water Resources and Environmental Management” (WATENV) is a research oriented international Master of Science Program hosted at Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany.

The international and multidisciplinary course taught in English language attracts students and water experts from all parts of the world. During the 2-year program, our students obtain interdisciplinary knowledge and key qualifications in the field of sustainable water resources management. The growing demand for experts in water related subjects offers great job opportunities.
